RULES
1) The international cross-country ski marathon "Dolomitenlauf" is part of the worldloppet euroloppet.
2) Eligible to race are all male and female competitors over 18.
3) Registration – with bank transfer or online at www.dolomitensport-lienz.com. Online registration with CC payment to Langlauf- und Radsportclub Lienzer Dolomiten, Südbahnstrasse 22, 9900 Lienz. Entries without payment will not be given a number initially. It is recommended that you submit all relevant personal details (name, date of birth, sex) with your choice of competition (no choice means automatically the 60 km freestyle). Incomplete registrations will not be accepted. The correct registration entitles the entrant to participate in the race of his/her choice, to use the means of transportation, the refreshment booths, the wax, ski and service facilities provided along the trail and the clothes transportation (insured to the value of the entry fee). It also includes a Dolomitenlauf Magazine, which will be sent to all entrants and which contains results and a diploma. All registered entrants will receive a Dolomitenlauf medal with special embossing. All further costs will be carried by the entrant.
4) For the 60 km freestyle 34th Dolomitenlauf and for the 42 km Dolomite Classic the registration fees amount to € 43 if paid by 30th November 2007, € 48 if paid by 31st December 2007 and € 53 if paid by 19th January 2008. For the Lienz race over 25 km the entry fee amount to € 30 if paid by 30st November 2007, and € 35 if paid by 19th January 2008. On January 20th and 21st there will be an extra fee of € 5 for all races. The entry fee can be transferred to another competitor up to January 15th. The entry fee cannot be refunded or credited to a later Dolomitenlauf. Registration for the Bambini Marathon can be submitted via the Internet too at www.dolomitensport-lienz.com. The entry fee of € 10 is to be paid in advance into the account of the Langlauf- und Radsportclub. There is an additional charge of € 5 for entries submitted on the day of the race. 5) Issue of numbers:
– on Friday for all races in the Dolomitenhalle/Lienz between 14.00 & 17.00
– on Saturday for all races in the Dolomitenhalle/Lienz between 14.00 & 18.00
– on Saturday for the Dolomite Classic at the start in Obertilliach between 07.30 & 10.00
– on Sunday for the 34th Dolomitenlauf (60/25 km) at the start between 07.30 & 10.00 in Obertilliach
| | 6) All entrants are obliged to have the control strip torn off before entering the appropriate starting group.
7) For the Dolomite Classic only the classical technique is permitted. Those using freestyle will be booked by the officials and disqualified by the racing commission. It is forbidden to take off the skis during the race and whoever wants to pass another competitor has no right to a ‘free track’. One ski only may be replaced. Contraventions of the rules will be punished by disqualification through the jury. Competitors who leave the trail or who, in the eyes of the race doctor, are unable to continue the race will be disqualified.
8) The time limit for the 60 km 34th Dolomitenlauf in the Lienz main square is 1630 and for the 42 km Dolomite Classic in the nordic centre in Obertilliach 1530.
9) The organizing committee reserves the unlimited right to change the course or to cancel the event due to lack of snow. In the latter case, 50% of the entry fee will be credited for the next race.
10) Each entrant notes with all consequences that the Dolomitenlauf involves a considerable physical and technical strain. With his/her registration he/she declares on his/her own responsibility that he/she is in possession of these prerequirements. The organizing committee reserves the right to examine entrants at random in order to ensure that they have not taken any prohibited stimulating substances.
11) Protests together with a fee of € 50 must be submitted to the jury within half an hour of the end of the race. Should the protest be accepted by the jury the fee will be refunded in full.
12) By registering, the entrant declares that he/she is fully aware of these regulations and accepts the same. He/she further declares expressly that he/she releases the organizer from any civil or criminal responsibilty for personal damage and/or damage to property he/she causes or he/she incurs. For all further aspects not mentioned here the FIS rules for the cross-country marathons in their calendar apply.
13) The categories correspond to the FIS rules. All winners in a category will receive a cup.
14) Competitors who travel via the Felbertauern panorama route will be refunded 50% of the toll. This refund can be claimed on the outward journey with the appropriate confirmation from the organizing committee. |
